All your appointments with your SIM physician can be conveniently booked:<br />

	<li><strong>Book in advance</strong>:   these appointments are available at anytime for you to to schedule</li><br />
         <li><strong>Book same-day</strong>: these same-day appointments area available beginning after midnight of the preceding day. <br />
<br><br />
Please cancel or call us at least 24 hours prior to a scheduled appointment if you are unable to keep your appointment, so we can open up the time for other patients.<br />

<![CDATA[<p><a href="http://sim.stanford.edu" target="_blank">Stanford Internal Medicine</a> has initiated a new prescription safety program <b><i>effective 9/1/11</i></b>.&nbsp;</p><p>The first phase is to standardize frequency of medication monitoring visits to ensure optimal prescription safety as follows:</p>

<ul>
	<li>Patients on chronic TRIPILICATE prescription narcotics should be seen a minimum of four times per year, usually every 3 months.</li>
	<li>Patients with Diabetes should be seen at least every 6 months. </li>
	<li>Patients on any prescription medication should be seen yearly.</li>
</ul>

<p>We encourage our patients to further follow these guidelines regarding medication safety and effectiveness:</p>

Routine yearly influenza vaccine is recommended for all adults. The 2010-11 vaccine contains protection against H1N1 and we are providing the preservative free formulation to all our patients. <br />

<![CDATA[<p>The Stanford Medical Group (SMG) and Stanford Internal Medicine Clinic (IMC) are combining to create a single clinical entity to enhance patient services; education of medicine residents and medical students; and operational efficiency.<br />
<BR><br />
<A HREF="http://med.stanford.edu/profiles/Baldeep_Singh/" target="_blank">Dr. Baldeep Singh</A>, Clinical Professor of Medicine, will head the new service under the aegis of <A HREF="http://med.stanford.edu/profiles/Mark_Cullen/" TARGET="_blank">Dr. Mark Cullen</A>, Clinical Professor of Medicine and Division Chief of General Internal Medicine.<br />
<BR><br />
Three clinic sites will be utilized for this new service:<br />
<UL><br />
<li><strong>SIM - East</strong> - The previous Stanford Internal Medicine Clinic (IMC). Currently located in Bowell Clinic, First Floor, Room A175. <em>On August 9, 2010, SIM - East will move to a newly remodeled location in the Blake Wilbur Clinic Building, Second Floor, Room W2080.</em></li><br />
<li><strong>SIM- Hoover</strong> - The previous SMG - Hoover Clinic. Location will continue in the current location at the Hoover Pavilion, Third Floor.</li><br />
<li><strong>SIM - West</strong> - The previous SMG - Blake Wilbur Clinic. Location will continue in the current location at the Blake Wilbur Clinic Building, Second Floor, Room W2080. </li><br />
